JEFFERSON CITY Close to Columbia, Missouri Barbara taught here to support Richard while he went to college to finish his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
In Jefferson City, Barbara and Richard lived in one half of a mobile home.
UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI After 10 years of college, mostly in the evening, Richard got his engineering degree in 1969.
Barbara and Richard settled down in Binghamton, New York. Binghamton had the cloudiest weather in the U.S. During the winter it snowed almost everyday.
With Richard working as well as Barbara, the love birds could now afford their own mobile home. Even with skirts, Binghamton was so cold the toilet pipes often became clogged with ice. Richard defrosted the pipes with movie lights.
Richard worked during the day and went to school in the evenings. At SUNY Binghamton Richard got a Masters Degree in Advanced Technology and Computer Science.
In Binghamton Barbara and Richard also got a beautful child, Robert. Robert was famous for his beauty and screams. All who approached the beautiful Robert were turned back by screams of anguish.
STOW, MA WAS THE NEXT STOP After the birth of Robert and Richard getting his Masters Degree, the family moved to Stow MA.
Barbara and Richard finally moved out of mobile homes and into their own house in Harvard Acres, across the street for Stow's Conservation Area and lake.
Richard worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, in Maynard MA, in an old mill building. Richard worked for Digital Equipment until he retired in 1990.
In Stow, Robert got a little brother, Christopher.
Barbara started teaching at a school for Learning Disabled children, the Carroll School, Lincoln, MA.
Barbara went back to school to get a Master Degree in Special Education from Lesley University
After Christopher graduated from high school, the family sold their home in Stow, MA and moved to the warmer temperatures of Savannah, GA. The new home was ion Skidaway Island in The Landings.
