Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) issued a statement in response to the 2019 government funding package (to better care for illegal aliens):  “In this country, our diversity is our greatest strength. Immigrants fuel our nation’s economy, enrich our nation’s culture, and enhance our social fabric.  Quite simply, we are a better nation because of our immigrants.” “And yet, ... this Administration's ... Department of Homeland Security does not deserve an increase in funding, and that is why we intend to vote no on this funding package.”  The more deplorable the conditions are at the border, the better it is for democrats (see note 2).

"They were put into a cell and the sink was not working so they were told to drink out of a toilet bowl, I believed them," she said, (to avoid the truth) ... that migrants did not have to drink out of toilet bowls but instead had drinking water fountains installed into the tops of their toilets.
